Well the scientific answer NO. At the small scale of a sink or toilet, the Coriolis Effect does not actually play any part in the rotation of how it drains. However at a large scale of a hurricane or typhoon, then it will follow the counter clock-wise motion in the southern hemisphere vs. the northern hemisphere of clockwise.
